A meaningful and productive discussion was held today on the implementation of Social, Emotional and Ethical (SEE) Learning in Ladakh under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Lhakdor.

The meeting witnessed the presence of key stakeholders, including:
- Ms. Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Administrative Secretary
- Sh. Tsering Lakrook, President, Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA)
- Sh. Mandeep Mittal, Additional Secretary, Tourism & Culture
- Sh. Jigmet Takpa, IFS, Nodal Officer to Tathagata – Sacred Exposition
- Sh Tashi Namgyal, F Director, Flowering Dharma
- Representatives from the Education Department
- Members of Flowering Dharma

The discussion focused on integrating SEE Learning into the educational framework of Ladakh, with an emphasis on nurturing compassion, emotional awareness, ethical values, and holistic development among students.
Key points deliberated included:
- The relevance of SEE Learning in the socio-cultural context of Ladakh
- Potential collaboration between government departments and civil society organizations
- Capacity building and training of educators for effective implementation
- Aligning SEE Learning with existing educational initiatives and policies
All participants expressed strong support for the initiative and acknowledged its potential to positively impact the mental well-being and character development of students across the region.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to take forward the implementation process in a structured and collaborative manner, with further consultations and planning expected in the coming weeks.

The planning of Geshe la’s next talk in Ladakh’ Sacred exposition of Holy Relics happening on 22nd April in Hunder was also discussed.
