Book Introduction and Presentation at CIBS Branch School, Duzin Photang, Zanskar**

Flowering Dharma Ladakh organised a meaningful book introduction and presentation programme at CIBS Branch School, Duzin Photang, Zanskar, featuring an insightful talk by Geshe Konchok Wangdu la,

The session focused on introducing the life, works, and enduring literary legacy of Drubkhang Gelek Gyatso, a distinguished author and scholar who was born in Zangsla Village of Zanskar in the 18th century. Geshe Konchok Wangdu la shared valuable insights into the remarkable contribution of Drubkhang Gelek Gyatso and highlighted the importance of preserving and passing on the rich literary, cultural, and intellectual heritage of Zanskar to younger generations.

During the programme, three books were introduced and presented, including works highlighting Buddhist teachings, compassion, wisdom, and the rich philosophical tradition of Tibetan Buddhism:

1, A miscellaneous notes of instructions on training the mind in buddhicitta by Je Drubkhang Gelek Gyatso
2, The Path to Compassion and Wisdom
3, Mind’s Mirror (Sakya Lekshad)

All three books were published by Flowering Dharma Ladakh as part of its efforts to make meaningful Buddhist and philosophical literature accessible to younger generations and the wider community.

The programme was attended by Madam Principal Doly, teachers, and senior students of the school. The session provided an enriching opportunity for students to learn about an important historical figure from their own region while also being introduced to valuable Buddhist literature and teachings.

Through such initiatives, Flowering Dharma Ladakh continues its commitment to promoting education, cultural preservation, Buddhist literature, and greater awareness of the rich intellectual and spiritual heritage of Ladakh and Zanskar.

What if we took a little time to understand the mind, happiness, suffering, and the way we see the world?

Flowering Dharma, in association with Tibet House, Cultural Centre of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, New Delhi, is pleased to bring back Panorama – A Certificate Course on Buddhist Philosophy, Psychology, Science and Practice, led by Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul La, Director, Tibet House.

The course will introduce participants to some of the fundamental ideas of Buddhist thought, including Bodhicitta, Emptiness, Dependent Origination, the nature of the mind, Buddhist psychology and meditation, while also exploring how these ideas can be understood and applied in everyday life.

Whether you are completely new to Buddhism or have been exploring these ideas for some time, Panorama is an opportunity to learn, question, contemplate and connect.

The seven-day retreat on the “Five Levels of Emptiness” concluded yesterday in Bir, Himachal Pradesh. The retreat was organised by Deer Park Institute, Bir, and Flowering Dharma supported the participation of students by offering scholarships, enabling more young students, particularly from the Trans-Himalayan region, to attend the residential programme.

Flowering Dharma is pleased to offer scholarships of up to 70% for students especially the Trans Himalayan region to attend the 8-day residential retreat on The Five Levels of Emptiness, organised by Deer Park Institute, Bir, under the guidance of Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul (11 to 18 August 2026).

This scholarship initiative also reflects the long-standing bond between Flowering Dharma and Deer Park Institute. For many years, Deer Park has warmly welcomed our members and has continuously supported our efforts to make the discourses accessible to Himalayan youth.
