The directors of Flowering Dharma along with members and interns visited Ms. Avny Lavasa, the Deputy Commissioner on 21st June, 2018.
The meeting was mainly held for the purpose of discussing the possibilities of acquiring land for the dream project ‘Ladakh International Cultural Center’. The Deputy Commissioner went through the proposal submitted by the members and expressed her support by agreeing to meet in the second week of July along with the concerned department members for a more detailed visual presentation of the same.
Ms. Avny also suggested that the NGO consider help from the Ministry of Tribal affairs for funding and agreed to help from her side in any way she could. It was a ray of light and hope for the ‘International Center’. Permission for running stalls by Flowering Dharma in Leh market was also granted by the Deputy Commissioner.
