Had the opportunity to meet with students from SingeLalok, led by Nono Jigmet Namgyal, along with the President and members of the student union at the Flowering Dharma office, in the presence of Director Geshe Samdub.
We had meaningful discussions on collaboratively strengthening our root culture among the youth of the region, and explored the possibility of organizing a week-long program in the future. Looking forward to the positive impact this initiative can bring.

H.E Choegon Rinpochey lay has been a guiding light to Flowering Dharma since 2009 nurturing its vision, strengthening its roots and continuously giving us direction with compassion and clarity. A heartfelt thank you to DKSA for inviting and felicitating us so warmly. Being honoured with the traditional Kinnauri cap (Thepang) a symbol of dignity, respect and Himalayan identity was deeply meaningful … …In Toshim, Rinpochey lay graciously spared his precious time to sit with our members, offering discourse and guidance reminding us how to stay connected to Dharma and roots even while living away from home.
He emphasized walking in the footsteps of the Nalanda tradition a path rooted in inquiry, reasoning and compassionate action. He encouraged students to regularly listen to the student discourses of H.H Dalai Lama as a way to cultivate wisdom and clarity in modern life.
We also continue to celebrate the Year of Compassion, which was inaugurated by Choegon Rinpochey-la at Pal Hotel a beautiful reminder that compassion must not remain a theme for a day, but a practice for a lifetime.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Sikkim Students Association, Delhi for graciously inviting our members to the open film screening of Unko Sweater on 10th March. It was truly a meaningful initiative that brought together students from diverse Himalayan regions through the shared experience of cinema and culture.
The association has consistently remained active and committed to the welfare of the community. Their continuous efforts to create platforms for dialogue, cultural exchange, and connection play an important role in strengthening the bonds among students from the Himalayan region.
We deeply appreciate their dedication and vision. We feel truly grateful to have crossed paths with such inspiring individuals and organizations in our journey, and we look forward to many more opportunities for collaboration and shared learning in the future.

Rooted in the wisdom of the Nalanda tradition, a small gathering on 8th March brought together retreat participants from the Bodh Gaya Retreat 2026, earlier retreat members and Himalayan community members in Delhi.
In the presence of our respected Founding Director, we reflected on our retreat experiences, shared heartfelt feedback, and discussed how the teachings of Dharma can guide us in our daily lives. Living in a fast-paced city like Delhi reminds us how important it is to remain grounded in compassion, culture, and community.
Through introductions, shared stories, laughter, and meaningful conversations over dinner, the evening became a reminder that the path of learning and practice is strengthened when we walk it together.

Sincere thanks to Hon’ble Kiren Rijiju Ji and the Government of India for accepting our request to conduct the sacred exposition of the Holy Buddha Relics in Ladakh in May 2026.

Hon’ble Minister ji held a detailed discussion on a wide range of topics related to the Relics, with particular focus on Ladakh. He also expressed his goodwill and positive intentions towards Ladakh and its people. He often refers to Ladakh as his second home and has consistently shown genuine concern and care for the welfare of the people of Ladakh.

Students from the Flowering Dharma Delhi Chapter a

Students from the Flowering Dharma Delhi Chapter also joined the sacred event organised by Tibet House at the National Museum to mark Tibetan Losar along with other participants. keeping with the Tibetan tradition of beginning Losar with reverence and pure intention, students joined the gathering to offer ‘Chak’ the traditional Tibetan Losar greeting and to convey their heartfelt wishes to Ven. Geshe Dorjee Damdul la . They also offered prayers for his long life, good health and expressed deep gratitude for his continued teachings andcompassionate guidance.
The main highlight was taking of the Aspirational Bodhisattva Vows, led by Venerable Geshe la which unfolded in a sacred atmosphere, with more than 150 participants setting clear intentions and beginning Losar through mindfulness.
We respectfully offered a traditional thangka of Arya Amitayush , symbolising (Buddha of long life)
The sacred Buddha relics preserved at the National Museum stand as timeless reminders of the Buddha’s enlightened life and teachings.
The ceremony concluded with prayers dedicated to universal peace and happiness, followed by a cake-cutting session symbolising unity and meaningful beginning.
After the main event, few of us also took the opportunity to visit the nearby sacred Buddha relics exhibition that is currently open in New Delhi. The International Exposition of the Sacred Piprahwa Relics, titled “The Light & the Lotus: Relics of the Awakened One,”
Visiting the exhibition at the museum was an inspiring experience for all of us. We got the chance to observe these ancient sacred relics up close, learn about their history and significance, and reflect on the deep cultural and spiritual heritage they represent.
