Sh. Ashish Kundra, Chief Secretary to the Union Territory of Ladakh, along with Sanjit Rodrigues, Administrative Secretary, Culture & Tourism, Rigzin Samphel, Retired IAS Officer and Nodal Officer for the Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Gautama Buddha, and Tashi Namgyal, Director of Flowering Dharma, visited the National Museum and met with the Director, Shilpa Raturi. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding various protocols and facilitation arrangements for the upcoming Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Tathagata Buddha, scheduled to be held from 1st May to 15th May 2026.

The meeting also focused on materials and production planning for the exposition. Key aspects discussed included the preparation of 3D printed models of the Holy Relics as takeaway souvenirs for visitors, the design and setup of the exhibition, as well as the development of official documentation and catalogues related to the relics. In addition, discussions were held on the preparation of expo materials, brochures, and other informational publications to facilitate visitors and enhance public awareness during the exposition.

The Sacred Exposition is expected to be a significant spiritual and cultural event, offering devotees and visitors an opportunity to pay homage to the sacred relics while promoting the rich Buddhist heritage associated with the region.
