Report on the 7-Day Bodhicitta Retreat: Dealing with Stressful Emotions
Flowering Dharma successfully concluded the 7-Day Bodhicitta: Dealing with Stressful Emotions retreat, held from 18–24 October 2025, under the compassionate guidance of Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul organised by Deer Park Institute. The retreat brought together participants from diverse backgrounds for an intensive week of study, reflection, and contemplative practice centered on the cultivation of Bodhicitta and the skillful transformation of challenging emotions.

Throughout the retreat, participants engaged deeply with teachings that explored the nature of emotional stress, mental afflictions, and their antidotes through mindfulness, analytical understanding, and compassion. The sessions offered practical tools rooted in Buddhist philosophy, enabling participants to relate to emotional turbulence not as an obstacle, but as a meaningful path toward inner clarity, resilience, and altruistic motivation.

In alignment with its commitment to making authentic wisdom traditions accessible, Flowering Dharma Trust extended scholarship support to a significant number of students, enabling them to participate in the retreat irrespective of financial constraints. This initiative ensured the inclusion of young learners and sincere practitioners who might otherwise have been unable to attend, reinforcing Flowering Dharma’s mission of nurturing ethical awareness, emotional well-being, and compassionate leadership among the youth.

Flowering Dharma expresses its deep gratitude to Geshe Dorji Damdul for his invaluable teachings and patient guidance, which enriched the retreat with depth, clarity, and practical relevance. Sincere appreciation is also extended to all participants for their wholehearted engagement, discipline, and openness throughout the week.

May the understanding and compassion cultivated during this retreat continue to flourish in the lives of all participants and contribute meaningfully to the well-being of society and all sentient beings.
Special Thanks to Deer Park Institute.
