The Fourth Series of Panorama Certificate course came to a successful completion on 27th February 2021. The course was conducted online on Zoom. Panorama of Buddhist Philosophy, Psychology and Science is a month-long certificate course organized annually by Flowering Dharma in collaboration with Tibet House, Cultural Centre of HH the Dalai Lama, New Delhi with support from Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The course started on 5th February 2021 and saw enrolment of more than 100 participants including students and professionals from Hyderabad, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Darjeeling, Ladakh and various parts of the world. The course covered the basic topics of Buddhist Philosophy including Arya Nagarjuna’s Emptiness , Introduction on Meditation, Essence of Dependent Origination, Wheel of Life, Four Seals, Bodhicitta and Ontological reality in Modern Physics and Buddhist Psychology.
The sessions were led by Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director, Tibet House, New Delhi and Dr. Pooja Dabral, Assistant Professor, Department of Buddhist and Tibetan Studies at Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Gangtok, Sikkim.
The sessions focused on the practical aspect of learning the texts and how it could be applied to understand oneself and one’s mind to shun miseries and achieve maximum happiness.
On the final day of the course the members of Flowering Dharma thanked Ven. Geshe La for taking out his valuable time and leading the course. Team Flowering Dharma also thanked the staffs of Tibet House for their kind co-operation in organizing the program.
