With the Philosophy and Meditation class on “The Jewel Ornament on Liberation by Gampopa” on “Emptiness” by H.E. Palga Rinpoche on Sunday 9th September 2018, the summer session of the Flowering Dharma at the Youth Cultural Centre came to a successful conclusion. In the Sunday Philosophy and Meditation class since its initiation this year topics like- Wheel of life, Symbolism on Mandala, Four Seals of Dharma, 12 links of Dependence Origination, Mind training to name few were discussed. The YCC earlier opened in the month of May for this season and had been actively carrying out activities like Workshops, Yoga, movie screenings, cultural and exposure tour, Philosophy and meditation classes. Eminent personalities like C.E.C Mr. Motup, H.E. Rigyal Rinpoche, H.E. Palga Rinpoche to name a few visited the center.
The team will be travelling to Deer Park Institute in Bir along with 30 students from various colleges for a 13 day residential retreat on the “Rice Seedling Sutra” to be led by Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director, Tibet House, Cultural Centre of HH Dalai Lama, New Delhi, towards the early October.
Thereafter, the Flowering Dharma will be conducting programs in New Delhi, Jammu and Chandigarh during the winters and reopen the Youth Cultural Centre in May 2019.
The team assured that next summer the center will be pro-active and organize classes and workshops as well as intensive retreats.
